Awakening Your Spirit: Embracing Your Divine Calling Today
Hello, beloved friends!
I feel inspired to share everything I’ve been enjoying over the first quarter of this year, which has been influenced by my connection with God, my relationships with others, and the creativity I express. I have been focusing on much better things. My thoughts these days are less muddles of puddles and more in-depth and personalized keeping-it-simple solutions.
I am progressing in my spiritual journey and journaling better every day. I have joined a great online community, which is helping me develop more in-depth journaling practices. A journaling prompt to identify what tasks, hobbies, and passions fill me and how I will make room for them opened my eyes to many things. After a long look at my notes, journaling, and prayer, I’ve discovered something remarkable that has ignited a wonderful spark within me!
Every task, hobby, and passion that fills me up fits into one of three categories: God, Connection, and Creativity. I make conscious, deliberate choices that align with my values and goals rather than simply reacting to circumstances or living on autopilot.
This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24
It all begins with my relationship with God. I want to engage in meaningful activities filled with love and connection. Every morning I wake up is a precious gift. When we approach life with a thankful heart, we open ourselves to receive God’s guidance and purpose. As Psalm 118:24 states, "This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." In our hectic lives, we often forget to pause and express gratitude to God for our blessings—our health, our families, and our opportunities to grow. When I journal, I dedicate time to appreciation. Gratitude sets the tone for my day. I have also been spending more time in prayer and Bible study, a decision that resonates deeply within my spirit. Spending more time writing everything and reviewing it with God clears up confusion and doubt, putting me back on solid ground.
We are designed for connection—first with God and then with those around us. We frequently rush through tasks in our everyday lives, but in moments of genuine connection, we discover joy and fulfillment. Connecting with family, spreading joy, and having meaningful conversations are essential to my well-being. I have enjoyed brunches, long phone chats, regularly sharing music and photos, and texting my loved ones. As family and friends lift us, we must nurture those relationships with love and intention. Making time for connecting is a small, intentional act that cultivates unity and love and has a significant impact. I’m excited to kick off a card ministry in my community where we can spread kindness together! I’m still working on the details, but I can’t wait to share this wonderful journey with you. So, stay tuned for more updates!
All I want to do is share my art and connect.
God is the supreme creator, and we are fashioned in His likeness. Each of us has distinct gifts and talents waiting to be uncovered. I have increased my creativity by choosing physical art techniques and supplies over technology-based solutions. I am using innovative ways to reinterpret digital creations. With the extra playtime and creative energy, I am using up art supplies, learning new ways to use them, and putting more into everything I create. We connect with a divine energy invigorating our spirits when we engage in creative activities through art, music, or writing. If there is something I can create with my hands that sparks or nudges someone toward love and kindness, then I am dancing in the streets with joy. I encourage you to reclaim that creativity! Set aside time to experiment, play, and express yourself in ways that bring you happiness. Remember, it’s not about perfection but the journey of creation itself.
As I continue this path, I invite you to reflect on your habits and behaviors. In the rush of daily life, we may find ourselves merely reacting instead of living with intention. I urge you to assess your daily habits and choices. Are they in alignment with your values and purpose? As we create space for what truly matters, we enhance our ability to serve others and embrace our calling.
Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. Proverbs 16:3
As I progress on this journey, I encourage you to examine your habits and behaviors. In the whirlwind of daily life, it’s easy to fall into the trap of merely reacting instead of living with intention. Now is the time to evaluate your daily choices: Are they aligned with your values and purpose? By consciously prioritizing what truly matters, you can significantly elevate your ability to serve others and confidently embrace your calling.
How are you responding to your divine calling today?
Remember the wisdom of Proverbs 16:3: “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” As we move into the next quarter, let’s be purposeful. I challenge you to implement one change that reflects your calling—spend more time in prayer, connect with loved ones, or discover your talents. Consider becoming part of the Jellybean Jumble community. You will receive a little spark of joy in your inbox each month. Together, let’s walk in obedience and embrace the beautiful journey ahead. Thank you, God, for leading us, the love you provide, and the chance to grow together as a community. May we consistently seek your wisdom, treasure our connections, and celebrate our creativity. Amen.
