Faith.Love.Hope

There are those who say, blogging is all about making money and every blog post should direct readers to purchase your goods or services. My intention with this blog is to share positive content and snippets of my life. This is a place for me to share a bit of who I am and why I create my art. If someone decides to check out my shops and buy something, well, that is just icing on the yummy cake! I have shared a lot in these blogs already and this post will be no different. I am going to share how Faith, Love and Hope play an important part in my creative process.

Faith

First and foremost, I have Faith in God and the gifts He has bestowed upon me. Spirituality is personal, but growth in it has made me a better artist. Creating and sharing my art is how I thank the Lord for loving me. My mission is simple, continue to spread Love through every piece of art I create. As I have learned, in my walk with the Lord, doing His work doesn’t need to be a complicated endeavor. He already gave me what I need, I just need to keep improving and the way I do that is by consistently creating. The formula may be simple but there is value in the work.

Don’t confuse simplicity for inessential.

Love

I put Love into everything I create. My Art is inspired by scraps of good, bad and ugly experiences from my life. Almost every work of art has a story behind it or within it and no two pieces are the same. Because my art is such a part of me, I choose not use AI (Artificial Intelligence).

I Love working with collage and especially torn paper collage. My process consists of creating foundational pieces using supplies like paints, inks, markers, paper and glue, etc. Then, I digitize each piece and use graphic programs, such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, to enhance the image. I enjoy creating colorful and unique art. I consider my art to be Eclectic Modern/Abstract with a healthy dose of Faith and God’s Love. 

Hope

When I publish new content, I hope for the best outcome. My hope is that it makes its way to those who need it. I want all of my content to uplift and spread Love in some way. I process and express my emotions through my art and I trust that God is using my gift for His purposes, in the way He sees fit. We need more faith based, uplifting and unifying content in this world and this is what motivates me to continue creating my art.

I Believe and Trust you Lord.

As you can see, my Faith in God, experiencing His Love and having the courage to Hope play an important part in my creative process. Sharing positive content is what it’s all about and, as I already mentioned in the beginning, sales are just the icing on the cake.
