Five Ways to Find Your PEACE.

Take a ten-minute break and do one of these activities to find your peace in a storm.

Five Ways to Find Your Peace.

  1. Change the Light.

  2. Sing It Out.

  3. Pour It Out.

  4. Quiet the Mind.

  5. Dance It Out.

Change the Light

Light some candles. Choose your favorite Autumn Marshmallow Campfire or Christmas Tree Sugar Cookie candle and light it up. Turn off any lights around you and enjoy the glow of the candle and its delightful smell. Who cares if itโ€™s only July?! You do you. No judgments!!

Sing It Out

Song Recommendation: Come Softly To Me by The Fleetwoods. I am convinced this song is one of Godโ€™s gifts to us. Play the song on repeat, sing the words you know, and make up the words you donโ€™t know. For ten minutes, enjoy your breathing as you sing those notes.

Pour It Out

Journal. Pull out your journal or blank paper and start writing down your thoughts after reading this scripture.

Scripture Recommendation: โ€œYou will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in youโ€ (Isaiah 26:3).

Remember, my friend, the peace is inside you; you must CHOOSE peace, even in the storm.

Quiet the Mind

Read. Pick up your bible and read it out loud to yourself or, even better, to your family or animal friends. Pull out an index card and write down one verse that speaks to your spirit.

Dance It Out

Song Recommendation: Touch (Acoustic Version) by Seal. Play the song, close your eyes, and sway like a tree on a breezy day. Standing or sitting, focus on moving with the music.

Guess What! You can turn any of these into a daily practice, which makes you always ready for future storms.
