Pray. Journal. Rest.
First and foremost, I am so grateful that I have control over my work schedule and tasks. I know what I must do and love what I do, but lately, I’ve been procrastinating. My momentum has stalled, and I’ve been feeling like a slacker. There have been days I’ve struggled to stay on task and complete my work. It bothers me when I feel like I’m not pulling my weight, so to combat the effects of this bad habit, I am focusing on my well-being roots: Pray, journal, and rest.
Pray, and Pray More.
We are meant to commune with the Lord, and I don’t know about you, but having a safe place to share my thoughts on what is going on with me is life-saving. My morning prayer time has been an all-day sensation over the last week. I went out to measure the roads, as my mother used to call it. I drive around, listen to music, chat with the Lord, and check out craft stores for a whole day. Instead of fighting my inaction, I’m letting God handle it. It doesn't make any sense to keep doing what isn't working.
All I’m saying is, why try to fight a battle not meant for you?
Journal A Lot.
I am incorporating more art journaling and writing every day in my journal. Quieting my mind with crafting is always great because I lose track of time. I shut my brain off and am entirely in my spirit. Being in the zone helps reveal what I need to do to regain balance and clarity.
Peace, be still!!
Take All Opportunities to Rest.
A good nap is where it’s at! When I was younger, taking a nap seemed ridiculous. But throughout my adult life, and as I get wiser, I appreciate a good nap. Sometimes, a 2-hour nap is a better rest than a full night's sleep.
What a delightful secret we only learn as we age.
I depend on God to get me back on track whenever I inadvertently wander off the path, and amping up time in my roots is essential to getting me back on assignment. Switching things up every now and then, even just a little, reminds me that God is in control and keeps the enemy guessing!
Thank you for renewing my spirit every day LORD!

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
But let him ask in faith without doubting. For the doubter is like the surging sea, driven and tossed by the wind. ~JAMES 1:6
The doubts will only make you seasick; let faith and belief be your anchors!
