The Good Scrap Part II: The Plan

Iโ€™m not here to argue or persuade, Iโ€™m just here to talk about my wonderful cart of good scraps. It may not look like much to some, but to me, it's a treasure trove of good scraps.

I am making peace with the fact that itโ€™s still expanding. I mean, who doesn't love a good scrap stash, right? I haven't had to buy any new paper supplies for a while now, thanks to all this scrap. YAY! Except also, my stash isn't going anywhere and it doesnโ€™t seem like I am even making a dent in my supply. I make my junk journals, as most junk journalers do, out of all sorts of paper and materials that would have otherwise been thrown away, aka good scrap. So instead of being wasted, they get a second life in the form of a "junk" journal. Whenever I come across something that I think might be useful or interesting, I toss it into my cart. Itโ€™s pretty great! But we're not here to talk about that.

We're here to chat about how I plan on making a serious dent in my good scrap this year.

To cut down on my scrap stash, I need to make more stuff. I am super excited to start creating embellishments for my junk journals. I will be making a variety of items such as tags, journal cards, pockets, bellybands, notepads, and mini notebooks.  By using scrap supplies, I can unleash my creativity and create some unique embellishments.

To see progress, I've set some goals. I have a box of scraps designated for this project that I plan to utilize by the end of the year. To keep track of my progress, I have designated an empty tray for completed embellishments. The box and tray will be kept in an open space within my craft studio, making it easy for me to see my progress every day and stay motivated to use up the scraps in future projects.

Crafting and creating is how I stay true to myself and make something beautiful from my heart. I find inspiration from God and use my two hands to make something unique. Crafting and creating help me to quiet my mind, be with the Lord, and improve my mental and spiritual well-being. This way, I can spend more peaceful time with my loved ones.

Thank You God!

So, there you have it. My good scrap adventures continue, and I couldn't be happier. By the end of this year, I expect to see more, beautifully created, handmade embellishments and a lot less scrap. Do you want to share your thoughts on this blog? Letโ€™s connect!
