One of my favorite ways to wander is reading. I love opening a book and walking into new worlds and subjects. It's a fulfilling way to exercise my brain and continue learning. My original mixed media piece includes patterned paper, stickers, repurposed packaging, ink, metal objects, and ribbon. It features a large image of a monarch butterfly in all its glory. After scanning it in, I digitally enhanced it to give it an oil paint texture.
